Hey all
This week not one but two, count ‘em two big special guests. Our first ever guest Ed Phillips makes his triumphant return to celebrate Temptation’s 300.
And Jess McGuire returns (more a correspondent than a guest, but we haven’t seen her for a while) to bring us up to speed on Idol.
Plus more Crap TV ranting against Channel 9′s blatant stupidity with Sopranos, a few little Raywatches, our continuing Fall line up preview, as well as news and pork.

Hey people,
The serial killer in new show “Dexter” is played by Michael C Hall (David Fisher, the undertaker from Six Feet Under). So he’s found another role where he can slice and dice the dead and the deserving-to-be-dead. So far, so good. I am intrigued. Will post a verdict-resembling-thing in coming days, after more viewage. But first I must listen to BCep56!!!
hey there,
Lindsay Wagner played the Bionic Woman not Farrah Fawcett. Easy to get them confused, i guess cos these days Farrah looks like she’s been thru a bionic storm!!
cheers,
esther
Thanks Esther
And Rob – think we’ll be looking at Dexter next week on the show – that and Brothers and Sisters maybe.
David Tench’s stalker is show writer Peter Egner.
He really looks like that.
The ‘guy inside the Tench suit’ is Drew Forsythe. Though, in the article above, it looks like Ten’s unsure about the show.
I was only watching it to hate Tench anyway!

Interesting article. I still like Tench – lots of funny stuff last week talking about probably getting cancelled and taking advice from Mick Molloy.
It’s still got a way to go, but it’s very clever and has a lot of potential (although it seems the makers of the show and I are the only ones who think so).
Dont waste your time with Brothers and Sisters. Sitting through the pilot for that was painful.
Dexter rocks! Definatly check that out, its just so different from all the other cookie cutter cop shows. The guy who plays Dexter does it so well. 3 episodes in and I cant get enough, good to see that they have taken up the idea of a season long mystery like Veronica Mars as well.

Hmmmm. I’m not sold (yet) on Brothers and Sisters. I’ve watched the first two episodes and will (probably) give it another one or two out of loyalty to “our” Rachel. There’s just not much in it that compels me. According to Wiki it’s not going down well with US audiences either.
I’ve had enough of Men in Trees after 4 eps. I like some of the characters but it’s not enough to keep me tuned in.
Season two of Extras has been bloody brilliant so far and the other recent winner is The Amazing Mrs Pritchard (6-parter currently screening in the UK; 2 down, 4 to go) starring Jane Horrocks as a supermarket manager from Yorkshire who stands as an independent in the national election, inspires other women to do the same and becomes Prime Minister after her “Purple Alliance” is swept into power. Great stuff.
Have you tried Shark yet ?
Its kind of a lawyer version of House.

I agree with you Mark, about Dexter. It definitely has that strangely compelling porcine edge to it. I found Shark a bit of a one man show (two-man show if you count James Woods’ hair). I might give it another go when it’s screened over here.

Sorry — just got distracted by Paulie Walnuts having a MOMENT!
Did you see the John Howard interview on 60 minutes last Sunday?
Channel 9 edited the original footage at the behest of the Federal Police and/or ASIO.
