Unfortunately, dear participants, the Boxcutters site has been hit with a lot of spam over the last few weeks. I’m sick of it and now we all have to login before leaving comments. It’s a simple and painless process that should take you all of 60 seconds.
See the link over on the left.

Trouble loggin in. I have registered. but when I log in it takes me to my profile page. If I got the Boxcutters page I am no longer logged in (circle which is vicious ensuse)
I never noticed any spam when I visited here, but if registration is necessary to stop this spam, so be it. I just hope this won’t lead to
censorshipmoderation of comments…I assure you that comments are still a free and simple place to vent. No moderation occurs other than the first time somebody places a comment. Once your first comment is approved all subsequent comments are automatically included.
This also explains why you haven’t seen much spam. Most of it was cut out before it hit the site.
Also, in the coming days I’ll be working on fixing the whole “am I logged in, how can I tell?” issue.
It seems like we’ve fixed the previous issues with registration and logging in.
Once again, let me know if there are any other issues.
Hey Kids,
Just thought I’d register a resolution on the whole logged in thing here. We’ve got some new code that takes your registrations and can indicate what your status is.
You’ll see up on the left, just under the Search box, a couple of links. If you’re logged in, it will give you options to go to the Site Admin - just a fancy way of saying the place where you write posts and stuff - if you’re a contributor - and a link to Logout.
Otherwise, you can Register or Login.
Hopefully it’ll be all smooth and we’ll all have a wonderful time!
