Hey all
This week not one but two, count ‘em two big special guests. Our first ever guest Ed Phillips makes his triumphant return to celebrate Temptation’s 300.
And Jess McGuire returns (more a correspondent than a guest, but we haven’t seen her for a while) to bring us up to speed on Idol.
Plus more Crap TV ranting against Channel 9’s blatant stupidity with Sopranos, a few little Raywatches, our continuing Fall line up preview, as well as news and pork.
The show:
Your voice to us: hooray@boxcutters.net
Just thought I’d post a screen cap of Mark Foley as a Democrat - he’s admitted to being an alcoholic homosexual with mental problems so, of course, he MUST be a Democrat!

This is where all the TV news is. Ross talks about another bank ad in I Don’t Buy It. Brett talks about the dodgy dealings of Fox News in Raywatch. Josh gets very angry about Free TV Australia. There’s a discussion of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Heroes in our ongoing look at the fall schedule from the US. Ross fills us in on Britney and Kevin: Chaotic and then we finish the whole thing up with some pork.
Nobody could ask for anything more.

Here’s a deleted scene you won’t be seeing in the new Borat movie…
Watch it under the fold - (more…)
Hey Kids!
It must be the warmer weather or the spring time of year getting people’s hormones going but there’s a feeling in the air that’s palpable. You can tell it’s going on all around you - just out of sight - and you might be missing out… the feeling of billions of little bits zooming around the net pipes into the living rooms and offices in your neighbourhood.
So I thought I might make things a little easier for you to get in for your share - and of course it helps everyone else doing it at the same time - with a few links to bittorrent resources that are floating my boat.
The most handy site I’ve found for the new shows in the US fall season is iPodNova. You’ve gotta register to get your hands dirty but there’s no restriction for registering and, with a good UL/DL ratio, it makes you feel good with every page you look at, with your personal scoreboard at the top. Get on board at ipodnova.net.
There’s a site that specialises in Australian/New Zealand Sports and TV shows that is normally an invitation only site - oops, it is again now - DAMN! - called Diwana.org. I got a heads up that registrations were open a week or two ago so picked one up - you never know when you’ll wake up all Sports Billy and just HAVE to get a torrent of the NRL Grand Final. Here’s a sample of the shows available on the front page right now:
It’s nice having a site that specialises in local TV - even if there is so much sport content there. If there’s another open season for regos or if I happen to earn some invites, I’ll let you guys know.
The other regular one I use for hard-to-gets is bitmetv.org which I got onto through an invite from regular listener, Alex Boxcutter. I’m guessing there’s a fairly high contingent of local members because I was able to get something quite rare like S1&2 of Love My Way from there. The great thing about this site is the quality control of the encoding, etc of the downloads. They’re quite strict about only having one available version of a show in the best quality. I’ve been quite active on this site and have a good ratio (2.550) going on so I might have an invite or two soon…
Other than those - and not necessarily just for TV torrent downloads - I use Torrent Scan which is a handy multi-tracker-searcher that gives you a list of good trackers to run the same search in until you find what you’re after. My faves are isoHunt and Torrent Reactor and then I click around fairly randomly.
So there’s some rockets for your arsenal - get out there and keep our world-beating per-capita rating going (if you’re in Australia - otherwise, forget you read any of this and don’t you dare click on any of those links. DON’T! STOP!)
